Do you have a passion for performing and dream of taking the stage? We’re looking for Southland’s talented singers, dancers and performers to be part of the 2026 ILT Christmas Variety Show - a spectacular production that entertains more than 5,000 people across two unforgettable nights!

Audition Details

📅 Date: Saturday 19 September
📍 Location: ILT Stadium Southland – Legends Lounge One
18 Surrey Park Road

To showcase your talent, please prepare two contrasting songs that highlight your vocal range, ability and performance style.

Please bring:

• Your backing tracks downloaded on a device that connects via AUX (phone, iPad, etc.)
• Your own instrument if you wish to accompany yourself

What We’re Looking For

We’re searching for Southland’s next stars - including young performers, strong vocalists and experienced performance groups.

Successful performers may be placed into Rising Stars, duos, trios or larger group numbers as part of this incredible production.

Important Dates

Rehearsals begin Sunday 4 October and will run throughout October, November and December.​​​​​​​

Successful cast members must be available for:

• Merry Little Christmas Concert: Sunday 13 December (morning)
• Technical Rehearsal: Monday 14 December
• Dress Rehearsal: Tuesday 15 December
• ILT Christmas Variety Show: Wednesday 16 & Thursday 17 December

The Kathleen Sutton Memorial Scholarship celebrates the legacy of Kathleen Sutton, a passionate supporter of music and the performing arts in Southland.

Established by Kathleen’s family, the scholarship supports an artist or artists to further their musical and/or performance pursuits through opportunities such as tuition, education, development programmes, competitions and performance travel.

The recipient will also have the special opportunity to perform at the ILT Christmas Variety Show, celebrating Kathleen’s lasting contribution to the arts.
